I have always believed that the clearest thinking happens in open spaces.
The sound of water. The weight of a breeze moving through everything and taking what no longer needs to stay. The openness of a trail, a shoreline, a garden still wet from the morning. That is where I think most clearly. Where the noise settles and what actually matters becomes obvious.
It is probably why I build brands the way I do. Not with urgency. Not with excess. With the same quiet intention I bring to every morning that begins at the edge of something vast and unhurried.
I am Debbie — founder of Sela Cove, designer, photographer, and mother to three young men who keep me grounded in what is real. Wife to a retired Navy Corpsman whose service taught me more about steadiness and purpose than any design education ever could. Extra mother to three dogs who have never once second-guessed where they belong.
I built Sela Cove because I know what it feels like to have a clear vision and a fragmented foundation. To be capable — genuinely capable — and still feel like the brand you're carrying doesn't reflect any of it.
Every resource in this shop was made for that person. Not to rush her. Not to overwhelm her with options. To give her one honest, considered starting point — and trust that she will know what to do from there.
